FEELS JUST LIKE HOME

Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation is dedicated to providing your loved ones a caring and supportive environment. Whether they are staying for short term respite care, rehabilitation services or long term skilled nursing care, our dedicated staff of trained professionals will ensure your family member is cared for in a nurturing and respectful environment.

A COMMITMENT TO CARING

Tom Brokaw referred to this generation as ‘our greatest generation’ and we couldn’t agree more. At Legacy, our motto is simply “a commitment to caring”. Although simple in statement, the coordination and effort to provide comprehensive care to your loved one requires our utmost diligence. This is what we strive for everyday.

Our History

Like other immigrants before her, my mother Catherine Joseph, saw this beautiful country and the opportunities it provided to transform lives. As a nurse, she also saw how she could give hope, care and compassion back to her community. She understood the human desire to give and receive care.

With equal parts faith and trepidation, she started her first skilled nursing facility in San Francisco. Inspired by it’s success, she went on to start several similar communities in the bay area. Webster dictionary defines “legacy” as a gift by will of money or personal property. My mother’s legacy is not of money or material things. It is her gift of passion and commitment to caring that we strive to emulate here at Legacy. – Tom Joseph, MD

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

MERLIE ABRAN was selected as EOM because of the wonderful energy she brings to our Activities Program. She is loved by all the residents for her humorous antics and how she approaches everyone and everything with that 1000 watt Merlie smile. On any given day, she can be found leading a cooking class, Arts and Crafts or an outing. When asked, Merlie states her favorite activity is the candlelight dinners because she enjoys decorating for it and she loves to see the happy faces around the table.
